Our Process

We’ll first meet with you, sit down over a coffee, and talk about your project. You’ll share your vision, ideas, budget and other requirements, and we’ll get to know each other. We’ll explain our perspective on your ideas before walking you through what you can expect with us. If you’re eager to move ahead, we’ll recommend architects & designers who we think would be a good fit for your plan.

Regardless of who you choose to design your new home, we’ll be all-in on collaboration - attending meetings as you need and providing our expertise to help you understand your options. As we progress through the design stage, we’ll be planning ahead for council approvals, timelines, and connecting your plans with framing, engineering and any other necessary details. If you ever feel unsure or left behind, we’ll be right there with you to catch you up and, if needed, manage anything on your behalf.

With your plans finalised and approved, we guide you through the exciting process of selections. We take your vision for the look, feel & function of your space and work closely with you to complete the picture. For every detail you hope to see, we find a suitable option, and if none exist, we get creative and go custom. Not to be forgotten, we all sit down with a joiner to make sure your space is as functional as it is stylish.

If you prefer to engage an interior designer, once again, we’ll be there to help you maintain your vision within budget.

With your design complete, and your final quote accepted, we sign a contract for the construction of your new home. With the bulk of the hard work done, you can relax and enjoy as your vision takes shape before your eyes. We’ll manage the carefully planned schedule of suppliers and trusted contractors, and bring you in for key decisions along the way.

Throughout your build, you’ll have a clear stream of communication with our team to keep you up-to-date, and regular site visits to give you a front row seat.

With the build finalised and our final checks and quality testing complete, we prepare your new home to welcome you. The very same team that you meet with on the first day will be there on the last to hand you the keys and give you the grand tour. We help you celebrate the incredible milestone you’ve accomplished and truly welcome you into the Taylored Construction family.

After your handover, we’re still in the picture. Six months beyond, we come back to see how you’re fitting into your new lifestyle, and we’re always just a friendly phone call away.
